Register To Vote and Consider Voting by Mail

Who Can Register:

To register in New Jersey:

  • you must be a United States citizen,
  • you must be at least 18 years old by the next election,
  • you must be a resident of the county for 30 days before the election.

You are not eligible to register to vote if you are serving a sentence or on parole or probation, as a result of a conviction of an indictable offense under state or federal law or have been adjudged mentally incompetent.

Any registered voter in New Jersey can Vote By Mail

You don’t need a reason to vote by mail in New Jersey, but there are many great reasons to do it – you can lock in your vote early, confirm that it has been counted, and free up our Election Day get-out-the-vote efforts to concentrate on others.
